🦥 A few things I found this week — chill and give these a read:
Man, I love this time of year, but I love it even more now that the US Open has basically turned into a giant, open-air session. Apparently, Court 17 and the surrounding park courts at Flushing Meadows are absolutely reeking of loud right now, to the point where the players are openly talking about how they can’t escape the smell of fresh bud while they’re serving [See the full article on High Times](https://hightimes.com/sports/the-us-open-reeks-of-weed-again-tennis-pros-have-thoughts/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-us-open-reeks-of-weed-again-tennis-pros-have-thoughts). As a grower, there is nothing funnier to me than seeing elite, ultra-focused athletes having to power through a contact high on live television because the crowd is just living their best lives in the stands.
On a much more frustrating note, I’m still shaking my head over this grand jury finding down in Florida, where the DeSantis administration apparently misappropriated $10 million meant for children's healthcare and funneled it into political campaigns, including the fight to kill the state's legalization initiative [See the full article on High Times](https://hightimes.com/news/hope-florida-grand-jury-report-amendment-3/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=hope-florida-grand-jury-report-amendment-3). It’s just wild to see the absolute mental gymnastics and shady funding schemes politicians will pull to keep a plant illegal, especially when they're taking resources away from kids to do it.
Are any of you watching the matches this week, or did anyone actually catch a whiff from the stands? — Internet of Pot
